⁹ So Moses told this to the ·Israelites [^Lsons/^Tchildren of Israel], but they would not listen to him. ·They were discouraged [Their spirits were broken], and their slavery was ·hard [cruel].

¹⁰ Then the Lord said to Moses, ¹¹ “Go tell Pharaoh the king of Egypt that he must let the ·Israelites [^Lsons/^Tchildren of Israel] leave his land.”
